Chongchuan district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, will host a series of events to celebrate the Lantern Festival from Feb 12 to 16.

The main venue for the events will be Haohe River 5A Scenic Area's Huanxi Cultural Plaza, with additional activities held at locations such as the InCity commercial complex and the Nantong Library.

The series activities will officially kick off on Feb 12 at 2:00 pm at Huanxi Cultural Plaza, featuring a lively opening ceremony. That evening, visitors can enjoy lantern riddles, interactive intangible cultural heritage experiences, lucky draws, and a special cultural performance.

Beyond the main venue, sub-venues will also offer a variety of festive activities. At the InCity commercial complex, guests can explore a Lantern Festival fair with over 30 intangible cultural heritage stalls showcasing blue calico printing, Banyan kites, and other local crafts. The site will also feature live music performances, including traditional Chinese music, jazz, and pop. Nearly 1,000 lantern riddles will be displayed for visitors to solve, and traditional Chinese-style parades will add to the festive atmosphere.
