Intl friend learns making Nantong blue calico cloth
An international friend recently explored the Nantong Blue Calico Museum to learn the making techniques of Nantong blue calico cloth from the practitioner of the national intangible cultural heritage item.
Nantong Blue Calico Museum is one of the main museums dedicated to Chinese blue calico fabric. The museum has collected over 10,000 physical objects and image materials from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911), preserving many excellent folk products. It has also published The Complete Collection of Patterns in Chinese Blue Calico Fabric.
