Nantong, Jiangsu province, recently launched its first low-altitude medical flight route, alongside the official opening of the comprehensive medical building at Nantong Tumor Hospital.
During the launch event, a smart logistics drone completed its inaugural flight, demonstrating its capability to transport medical supplies between the hospital's north and south campuses efficiently.
This innovative low-altitude route reduces the previous 35-minute drive to a mere 15 minutes. By offering an aerial express service between the campuses, essential medical supplies such as blood, pathology specimens, and emergency items can be transported swiftly, bypassing urban traffic constraints and greatly enhancing the efficiency of medical services.
Wang Xiaolin, deputy director of the Nantong Tumor Hospital, highlighted the hospital's plans to harness the advantages of the low-altitude medical economy to promote effective resource sharing between the main campus, various branch campuses, and specialist alliance hospitals.
