The shipbuilding and marine engineering industry belt in Chongchuan district, Nantong, is bustling with activity as the end of the year approaches. Enterprises in the sector are busy with production, striving to meet their annual goals. 

Shipbuilding and marine engineering is a traditional manufacturing industry in Chongchuan, which is now invigorated through the "intelligent transformation, digital transition and network connectivity". 

The district currently has 23 enterprises above designated size in the shipbuilding and marine engineering sector. Among them, four companies have been recognized as national-level specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprises, and one company has been selected as one of the first national-level outstanding intelligent factories.
