Nantong's cultural, tourism market thrives during New Year holiday

Nantong in Jiangsu province presented various New Year's Eve events, bidding farewell to the old year and welcoming the new one.
The fourth Zilang Music Festival saw 35,000 music lovers gather to light up the New Year's night sky, creating a vibrant and romantic New Year's Eve celebration.
From Jan 1 to 3, the Nantong Rural Tourism Consumption Promotion Event took place in Haimen district, featuring a series of activities such as e-sports matches, folk music performances, drone light shows, and singing competitions, which culminated in a bonfire party.
The Haohe River Night Painting project was launched, immersing visitors in a real-life performance over the millennia-old Haohe River as they waited for the New Year's bell to ring.
Xiaoyangkou Resort offered an immersive New Year's Eve experience. Visitors could enjoy barbecue and floral art under the sky of Peach Blossom Island, relishing the warmth of winter, and encounter fireworks in the night sky, welcoming a brilliant new year.
During the three-day New Year holiday, Nantong hosted 55 cultural activities, including exhibitions, art performances, handicraft making, and folk gatherings, benefiting 500,000 people.
The city's museums prepared a rich cultural feast, attracting citizens and tourists to visit and experience during the same period. During the holiday, museums in the city received over 50,000 visitors, hosted more than 20 New Year-themed cultural activities, and conducted over 40 social education activities.
