The smart logistics center of China Resources Nantong Pharmaceutical, located in the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone, is bustling with activity at the beginning of the new year. Various pharmaceutical products are moving in and out in an orderly manner, with seamless and efficient human-machine collaboration.

China Resources Nantong Pharmaceutical is a comprehensive pharmaceutical logistics and distribution enterprise that has been established in Chongchuan for nearly 30 years. It serves as an important hub for China Resources Pharmaceutical Commercial, a part of China Resources Group's health sector, in the Yangtze River Delta region, serving over 3,000 clients. 

To align with the industry's trends towards greater intelligence and integration, the company initiated the construction of a new intelligent facility in 2024. It completed the overall relocation by the end of September 2025, achieving a historic leap in resource integration and system upgrades.

"Since the new facility has been put into operation, the efficiency of our pharmaceutical logistics supply chain has doubled, not only boosting sales growth but further ensuring the supply of clinical medications," said Wang Zhiguo, general manager of China Resources Nantong Pharmaceutical. 

The new facility, with a total investment of 230 million yuan ($32.96 million) and covering approximately 40 mu (2.67 hectares), has introduced various automated and intelligent equipment, creating an intelligent dispatch system and a full-process temperature control traceability system. It has established a leading pharmaceutical logistics warehouse in China, achieving full-process automation from drug storage to dispatch. 

"Currently, the new facility processes over 6,000 order lines daily, delivers to more than 1,000 clients, and has a logistics throughput of about 20,000 items," Wang Zhiguo said. "In 2025, the company's sales reached 3.4 billion yuan, and with the support of the new facility, we aim to reach the target of 4 billion yuan in 2026."
