Nantong unveils new measures to boost business environment

Nantong in Jiangsu province introduced 25 new measures on Jan 19 aimed at improving its business environment in the coming year.
These initiatives are designed to further invigorate business vitality and enhance the city's appeal to entrepreneurs.
Nantong is committed to creating a more convenient and reassuring administrative environment, a more protective and secure legal environment, and a more transparent and reliable construction environment.
It also strives to create a more welcoming and satisfying development environment and a business-friendly social setting. These efforts are expected to help enterprises achieve greater efficiency, lower costs, and more stable expectations.
Key measures include the establishment of a comprehensive service platform for businesses and the provision of 33 high-frequency services, such as foreign work permits, to be accessed through a single government department.
The city also plans to implement initiatives to retain and attract young talent and cultivate young scientific and technological professionals.
It will enhance the supply of financial products, maintaining a loan balance of over 13 billion yuan ($1.86 billion) throughout the year.
Furthermore, Nantong will pioneer the development of a zero-carbon industrial park in coastal areas, offering enterprises over 4 billion kilowatt-hours of traceable green electricity.
