National high-tech zone makes strides in innovative development
The Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in East China's Jiangsu province has been advancing its innovative development in recent years.
In 2022, the industrial cluster of electronic components in the zone was the only cluster in the city to make the first list of provincial industrial clusters for innovation.
This is the result of the zone's efforts to boost the innovative development of local enterprises.
Among the key high-tech enterprises in the zone is Nantong Shengnan Circuit Co Ltd, which has applied intelligent equipment to its production.
According to Shennan, introducing intelligent equipment has helped the company save on labor costs.
For example, the hundreds of pieces of drilling equipment in workshops now need less than 20 operators.
In addition, the company has introduced a lot of auxiliary equipment, such as mechanical arms and intelligent logistics vehicles, to boost the high-quality development of the company.
The rapid innovative development of the zone has also benefited innovation in Tongzhou district, where the zone is located.
Tongzhou is currently home to 55 national and provincial "little giant" enterprises and 324 high-tech enterprises.
The total output value of the high-tech industry in the district currently accounts for 42 percent of Tongzhou's total industrial output.
