NETDA to embark on new chapter in 2025
The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) is set to embark on a new chapter in 2025. The area aims to contribute even more to the modernization of Nantong and China, according to Bao Delin, secretary of the Party working committee of NETDA.
One of the key goals for 2025 is to drive regional economic growth, with the goal of elevating the area's gross domestic product (GDP) above the trillion-yuan ($13.81 billion) threshold.
NETDA plans to strengthen efforts to attract investment, focusing on large-scale manufacturing projects and flagship foreign investment initiatives. The goal is to keep foreign investment's share in the city at over one-third of total investment.
The area also seeks to make breakthroughs in industry and innovation, aiming for landmark achievements in these fields. NETDA will continue to strengthen its leading industries, which include new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and new energy. The district plans to accelerate the development of two or three industry clusters, each worth over 100 billion yuan.
