A digital code was launched to provide services for skilled workers in Fenghua district, Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 25.

The code, known as the "Fenghua Talent Code", is an upgraded version of the digital code promoted in the city.

"The former code is for workers at the doctoral level and above, but only 240 people in Fenghua are currently qualified to use it," said a staff at the Talent Office of the CPC Fenghua District Committee, "so we launched this version in accordance with our own local conditions."

Skilled workers in the district at all different levels, from associates to doctoral degrees, can apply for the code, which allows them to learn more about policies affecting them and provides 24 services related to catering, housing, tourism, healthcare, sports and finance. 

Zhao Zhipeng, a young doctor in Fenghua district, applied for the code on Sept 26. "It is very practical," said Zhao. "It provides me with information depending on my specific situation, such as what allowances and subsidies I can get."

The Fenghua Talent Code will be developed to be compatible with similar digital codes used in other districts and cities, and more functions will be included in the future.
