Turkish expat Erdem Ozturk had the opportunity to experience rural life in Kunting village, Chunxiao sub-district, Beilun district, Ningbo on Aug 20.

Ozturk, who has been in China for 10 years, is working for a foreign trading company in Ningbo. During his free time, the Turkish would explore beautiful villages across the city and share his experiences via social media platforms.

Upon entering the village in Kunting, Erdem was astonished by the array of rural villas. "This doesn't look like the countryside at all. How can there be so many villas? It's so beautiful!" he exclaimed.

During his visit, he got to pick towel gourd, okra and fig, before being treated a feast of local dishes.

Chunxiao, which administers Kunting, is home to a number of scenic spots including tea gardens, bamboo forests, and beaches. By virtue of its captivating views, the sub-district has attracted many visitors and photographers. Earlier this year, it was designated the "Hometown of Photography" in Zhejiang province.
