With the arrival of tea harvest season, a tea-themed event kicked off in Ningbo, Zhejiang province on March 14.

The opening ceremony of the event, entitled "Yin Feng Cha Yun", was held in Hengxi town in Yinzhou district. Performances related to tea art, tai chi and dance and revolving around tea were held at the ceremony.

A livestreaming activity was also held at the site to help local farmers sell tea and other products.

With more than 466 hectares of tea plantation, Hengxi town is famed for its high output and sales of tea products. As spring arrives in the town, tea farmers are busy harvesting tea leaves.

The event attracted many tourists, who picked their own tea leaves with farmers in the tea gardens.

The town's Keqing Family Farm boasts a 20-hectare tea garden. Over the past half-month, more than 100 workers have been busy picking tea leaves in the garden.

During the event, the Zhejiang University Tea Research Institute launched a workstation in the town. Researchers from the institute will help the Keqing Family Farm digitally upgrade its traditional tea garden, cut down on expenses and labor, and attract young people to the agricultural industry.
