The 13th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNCCD will open on Sept 6 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region. About 2,210 volunteers are participating in the event to make sure that no page is left unturned in pursue of success.

They will offer various services including medical care and security. 1,210 of the volunteers are capable of speaking English, French, Russian, Arabian and Spanish, making it convenient for all the attendees from around the world.

Before the event, volunteers attended courses on international culture, cross-cultural communication skills and foreign-related public security.

They also acquired knowledge on COP 13 and achievements Ordos made on desertification, which helped them better serve for the conference.
