Inner Mongolia Mengxi High-Tech Group lies in the national circular economy pilot industrial park (Mengxi high-tech industrial park) in Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region. On its west is Wuhai, a city famous for its rich coal reserves.
Since its foundation in 1994, Mengxi Group has pursued a unique development model, which upgrades traditional industries through high-tech and appropriate technologies.
In the process, the group has been focusing on the development of an industrial chain with equal importance attached to environmental protection and high technology in a bid to produce high added value. After decades of development, the group has grown from a cement plant to a national-level high-tech enterprise, covering industries including cement, kaolin, aluminum oxide, photoelectric LED and real estate.
With the joint efforts of over 4,000 staff members and support from all walks of life, it has developed into the key enterprise in Inner Mongolia as well as a national-level innovative company.
A subsidiary of Menxi Group, Inner Mongolia Mengxi Cement Group, is famous as a national-level high-tech enterprise. Also, it is listed as one of 60 major cement companies with full support from the central government.
With manufacturing bases spreading in Ordos, Wuhai, Hulunbuir, Hohhot and Baotou in Inner Mongolia, Daqing and Qiqihaer in Heilongjiang province, and Yulin in Shaanxi province, the company has a cement production capacity of 15 million metric tons and a cement production capacity of 16 million tons.
Known as one of China’s top 100 construction material companies, and the most influential cement company in China, it has always been the leading company in the cement industry in Inner Mongolia.
