The Ordos Coal-to-Liquid Co is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Shenhua Coal to Liquid and Chemical Co, and is affiliated with Shenhua Group, which has its headquarters in Beijing.

By virtue of its self-developed coal-to-liquid technology, it is able to produce petroleum and petrochemicals directly from coal. It is one of the world’s leading companies involved in the direct liquefaction of coal.
