Updated: 2018-12-11 Print

In a bid to fight poverty in rural areas of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, a conference was hosted by Inner Mongolia Commerce Department, the Poverty Relief Office, and Alibaba (China's e-commerce giant) with the intention of finding ways to promote local agricultural products online, in Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Dec 8.

Over 100 regional agricultural products are now promoted on the "e-commerce poverty alleviation" section of Alibaba's websites. These products will be sold on Alibaba's online platforms and through offline channels to help local residents in rural and pastoral areas to earn additional income and raise living standards.
