The third Ordos Poetry Nadam Fair started on Dec 6, and will last until the end of December, according to a local news release.

The event will include a series of activities such as a poetry writing competition, a poetry recital competition, a calligraphy competition, an academic forum on poetry, and an artistic show. Poetry anthologies will also be launched. 

In addition, modern audio and visual facilities are offered at the Ordos Library through which citizens can acquire immersive experience while reading poems. The aim of the practice is to get more local residents involved in reading. 

The activity is being held by the Ordos publicity department, the Ordos Federation of Literature and Art, the Ordos bureau of press, publication, radio, film and television, publicity departments of each banner in Ordos, the Ordos Association of Writers, the Ordos Library, the Ordos Mass Arts Center, and cultural departments of each banner of Ordos.
