Ordos reports no new NCP cases in last six days

Officials from Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Feb 11 reported no new cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) for the last six consecutive days, at a news conference on the latest status on the epidemic.

According to local officials, as of 24:00 on Feb 10, there were still nine confirmed NCP cases in Ordos, all of which are in Dalad Banner.

Since the outbreak, the city has reported 11 confirmed NCP cases, one suspected case, two cured and discharged cases, excluding one suspected case.

The city has tracked 302 close contacts with NCP cases and 248 of them have been released from medical isolation. At present, 12 people are still in centralized isolation for medical observation and 38 people are staying at home isolated for medical observation.

Officials added that the remaining nine confirmed cases had all been transferred to the Second People's Hospital of Ordos and each patient had a corresponding treatment plan for treating symptoms.

Officials said that at present, no new confirmed or suspected cases have been found in Ordos for six consecutive days, the nucleic acid tests of existing close contacts with NCP cases were negative and the data of key personnel was relatively stable.
