Ordos to act against volatile organic compounds pollution

Updated: 2020-11-05 Print

Ordos – in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region – will make great efforts with the processing of volatile organic compounds during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), which is an important step for the city to prevent and control pollution.

To this end, the municipal government recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the All-China Environment Federation and the Institute of Air Pollution Control at the Shanghai Environmental Protection Industry Research Institute.

At the same day, Ordos established an office in charge of the treatment of volatile organic compounds – with the aim of eventually establishing Ordos as a national benchmark for volatile organic compounds in the modern coal chemicals industry and in improved local air quality.
