The ski resort at Resonant Sand Bay Tourist Attraction in Dalad Banner recently opened to the public, luring tourists to admire the desert scenery and experience some winter sports fun.

The ski resort occupies about 110,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of 15 football fields.

In addition to skiing, tourists can try snow chariots, snowmobiles and snow sleds.

When tourists stand at the top of the slope and look into the distance, they can also admire the unique landscape defined by white snow on one side and desert on the other.

The ski resort's opening is an essential move for Dalad Banner to boost tourism development by taking advantage of its natural resources.

In 2019, the number of tourists to visit Dalad Banner increased by 16.1 percent, while tourism revenue increased by 15.1 percent.

Resonant Sand Bay Tourist Attraction is a 4A-level scenic area situated in the east of the Kubuqi Desert, in the territory of Dalad Banner in Ordos city.

Backed by the Kubuqi Desert, the tourist attraction's dunes are crescent-shaped with a height of 100 meters and a gradient of 45 degrees. When it's dry, the dunes make a sound, hence the name "Resonant Sand Bay."
