Ordos announces development plan for 14th Five-Year Plan period

Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently announced its development plan for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25).
The city will explore a new path of high-quality development that prioritizes environmental protection and green growth and build itself into a Yellow River basin ecological protection and high-quality development demonstration zone. It will also become a national resource-based transformation and upgrade demonstration city and an excellent national city for its business environment.
The main targets during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) are as follows:
*Implement the "Science and Technology Revitalize Inner Mongolia Action" scheme and enhance the level of scientific and technological innovation
*Strengthen the development of ecological civilization and build an important ecological security barrier in China’s northern area
*Accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, and improve the level of industrial chain and value chain
*Promote rural revitalization and accelerate the modernization of rural and pastoral areas
*Implement the strategy of expanding domestic demand and integrating into the domestic and international markets in an all-around way.
*Deepen reform and opening up in an all-round way to stimulate high-quality development vitality
*Optimize the layout and usage of the land, and promote a new type of urbanization centered on people
*Promote high-efficiency social governance and build a security and stability barrier along the northern borders of the country
*Adhere to the philosophy of “people as the center” and build a higher quality and happier Ordos
