China's largest commercial LNG plant to start operating in August

The main structure of the 600,000-ton LNG project invested by Inner Mongolia Yahai Energy Development Co was completed on May 17.
The project is now entering the final construction phase and it's estimated that it will go into production in August of this year.
The project is located in the Otog Front Banner Comprehensive Industrial Park in Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. It covers an area of 400 mu (26.67 hectares) and has a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan ($180.06 million).

Construction of the project started in September 2019.
The project uses the domestic Sulige Gas Field as its gas source and is designed to produce 600,000 tons of LNG per year, with an annual output value of 2.5 billion yuan.
It will be the country's largest commercial LNG plant when it starts operating.
