The Kangbashi district of Ordos city -- in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- recently launched a horseback city sightseeing tour.

Tourists can experience the pleasure of riding horses without going to an equestrian sports arena, while admiring the charming urban landscapes.

The entertainment and sightseeing tour is scheduled to operate during each year's May Day, Dragon Boat Festival and National Day holidays, as well as from July 1 to Aug 31.

The project aims to promote the "Mongolian Horse Spirit" by taking advantage of the urban landscape and the horse culture in the Kangbashi district.
