Ordos' consumer market rebounds steadily

In the first half of the year, the consumer market in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region developed steadily, generating 26.43 billion yuan ($3.97 billion) in total retail sales of consumer goods, a year-on-year increase of 14.9 percent, or 28.6 percentage points higher than in 2020.
According to survey statistics, 67.61 percent of business reservations received by wholesale and retail enterprises were at a normal level. It was an increase of 2.5 percentage points from the first quarter.
Meanwhile, 73.3 percent of business reservations received by accommodation and catering companies were at a normal level, an increase of 16.7 percentage points from the first quarter.
The number of wholesale and retail enterprises with normal capital turnover accounted for 79.6 percent of enterprises in this category, while the amount of accommodation and catering with normal capital turnover accounted for 77.3 percent of the total.
Additionally, 70 percent of enterprises in Ordos have increased their profitability.
