Ordos' high-tech industry output reaches 73.06b yuan

In the first half of this year, the high-tech industry of the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region saw a positive development trend. 

During the period, the output value and added value of high-tech industries above designated size in the city achieved double-digit high growth. The industry's contribution rate to the growth of the city's industrial added value was 83 percent, stimulating the added value increase of industries above designated by 8.5 percentage points.

The output value of Ordos' high-tech industry reached 73.06 billion yuan ($10.96 billion), a year-on-year increase of 43.8 percent and accounting for more than 30.8 percent of the city's total industrial output value.

The high-tech industry realized an added value of 22.87 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 49.4 percent.

Meanwhile, the main business revenue of Ordos' high-tech industry came in at 75.93 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 45 percent.

It also earned 14.52 billion yuan in profits, a year-on-year increase of 833.5 percent. The R&D expenses of high-tech enterprises reached 910 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8 percent.
