The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region will soon have another museum, which is expected to become a popular destination among tourists.
The natural museum is located in the city's Kangbashi district and is named after the museum's display item donor Kenneth·E·Behring, chairman of the Global Health and Education Foundation.
Behring donated a total of 449 rare animal specimens to the Ordos museum.
Through modern display methods such as scene restoration and the application of sound and light technology, the Ordos museum will perfectly combine content and form to give animals a second "life", make animal specimens "live", and fully demonstrate the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
The project is committed to creating an interactive experience-based natural museum that integrates science and technology, culture, tourism, leisure, public welfare, popular science, and education.
After its completion, the natural museum will become the first world-class advanced natural museum to be built in China’s ethnic minority areas, which is of great significance for the display and protection of wild animals and the promotion of educational science activities.
The museum is currently being decorated.
