Ordos signs deals worth $42.5b at financial, economic development conference

The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region signed 29 deals valued at 283.27 billion yuan ($42.50 billion) at the Ordos Financial and Economic Development Conference, which was held on Oct 11.
These deals are expected to boost the city's industrial transformation and upgrading and high-quality economic development.
Among the signed deals, the Ordos municipal government signed strategic cooperation framework deals with nine financial institutions with a total contract amount of 244 billion yuan.
Meanwhile, 15 banking institutions in Ordos granted 24.92 billion yuan in credit and 14.17 billion yuan in loans to 56 projects, totaling 39.09 billion yuan.
Six banking institutions and four enterprises signed green development agreements for financial services and established the Ordos Green Financial Service Alliance to promote green financial product innovation and regional green financial exchange and cooperation.
In addition, one fund company signed a listed equity investment agreement worth 180 million yuan, and another four companies signed cooperation agreements with four securities companies and banks.
The conference also invited industry experts to give lectures on the practical operations of corporate debt financing and asset securitization.
Furthermore, the Ordos branch of the People's Bank of China and seven financial institutions carried out special financial product promotion.
