Ordos requires travelers to provide 48-hour nucleic acid test negative certificate

The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region is requiring all people to provide a negative nucleic acid test certificate issued within 48 hours before entering the city.

This is meant to further prevent the spread of the epidemic and took effect immediately on Oct 27.

If a 48-hour nucleic acid test negative certificate cannot be provided, it shall be reported to the authority of the first site of arrival. The corresponding banner, county or district must complete the nucleic acid test for the arriving person within eight hours.

While waiting for the test results, it is necessary to strengthen personnel management, carry out personal protection, and reduce traffic.

Those coming from high and medium-risk areas must undergo 14-day centralized quarantine, and each person must undergo nucleic acid testing on the first, fourth, seventh, tenth and 14th days.

Those coming from high and medium-risk areas before the latest virus prevention and control rules took effect must receive centralized quarantine immediately until they have been in Ordos for 14 days.

They must undergo home quarantine for seven days and avoid gatherings.

Close contacts of confirmed cases must be transferred to a centralized place for medical observation in isolation within 12 hours.

Centralized quarantine medical observation will last 14 days, and nucleic acid tests shall be carried out on the first, fourth, seventh, 10th and 14th days of the quarantine period.

A seven-day home health monitoring session shall be carried out after the quarantine is lifted, and people cannot attend gatherings during this time.

Additionally, inbound personnel must undergo 14-day centralized quarantine and seven-day home health monitoring.

The 14-day centralized quarantine must be carried out at the first site they arrive at the country, while the seven-day home quarantine should be carried out at their final destination in Ordos.

A nucleic acid test will be carried out the next day and on the seventh day after the end of centralized quarantine at the place of first entry.
