The government of Juungar Banner in Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Jan 17 reportedly signed 30 new projects involving a total investment of 102.55 billion yuan ($15.39 billion).

The projects involve the fields of new energy, new materials, emerging chemicals and equipment manufacturing -- featuring large investment volumes, high technology content and strong development prospects.

Since 2020, Juungar Banner has aimed to expand the upstream and downstream industry production and supply chains for new energy, preparing to build a new energy technology base and establish a new energy industry development fund.

While introducing new energy enterprises, Juungar Banner is seen to have accelerated its cultivation of new energy industry demonstration projects.

These include new energy vehicle manufacturing, fan manufacturing, solar power products manufacturing and hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing.

Due to these and other efforts, Inner Mongolia's first integrated green and low-carbon rooftop solar power demonstration project was connected to the grid in Juungar Banner.

Moreover, the region's first zero-carbon rural demonstration project also started construction in the banner, while its first pure electric unmanned mining truck rolled off the production line.
