New conference reveals Ordos economy stabilization measures

The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region held a press conference on June 14 to interpret the city's policies on stabilizing the economy.
Information from the press conference showed that a total of 43 measures in eight fields were declared, including finance and taxation, investment, consumption, energy security, industrial chains, people's livelihood, agriculture, and animal husbandry.
Plans have been made for Ordos to implement various tax rebate policies, further speed up the progress of budget implementation, speed up the use of special government bond funds, increase government procurement to support small and medium-sized enterprises, expand the implementation of the policy of deferred payment of premiums, and increase support for job stabilization.
Meanwhile, Ordos is planning to expand investment in transportation infrastructure, environmental treatment and municipal infrastructure, and boost consumption by issuing consumption coupons, regulating the development of the platform economy, and encouraging new business models.
Moreover, to ensure energy security, Ordos will increase coal production and ensure supply, promote the implementation of a number of energy projects, and improve the reserve capacity and level of energy resources.
Additionally, Ordos will further support the employment and entrepreneurship of rural residents, ensure the supply and price of important living materials, and coordinate development and safety work.
