The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently launched 15 policies to boost the recovery of its tourism and culture industries.

The newly-launched policies involve in supporting normalized epidemic prevention and control work, encouraging tourism and cultural consumption, developing a high-quality customer source market and helping enterprises overcome difficulties.

Ordos will work to prevent "over relaxing" or "excessive" virus prevention and control and restore and maintain normal tourism development.

Moreover, Ordos will launch 150,000 preferential Ordos tourism cards costing just 100 yuan each. People holding the tourism card can visit all A-level scenic areas in the city throughout the whole year without a time limit.

Travel agencies registered in Ordos will be rewarded with a subsidy of 30 yuan per person if they organize at least 500 tourists to conduct urban, suburb and countryside sightseeing in the city.

Ordos also plans to set up tourism promotion centers in Beijing and Shanghai, and strengthen tourism promotion and marketing in cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangzhong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guanzhong plain city cluster and cities along the Yellow River and in the jurisdiction of Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

Additionally, Ordos will encourage and guide financial institutions to increase the amount and supply level of effective credit to the tourism industry in a reasonable manner and develop financial products that meet the development needs of the city's tourism industry.
