Enterprises in the city of Ordos in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and their European counterparts successfully signed 27 deals worth 510 million yuan ($75.38 million) on Aug 5 – the designated day for Ordos at the Floriade Expo 2022, which was held both online and offline in the city's Ejin Horoo Banner that same day.

That day, several promotional videos were played, including those for the China Garden at the Floriade Expo 2022, Ordos' culture and tourism industries, forest and grass industries, and the city's resident enterprise Inner Mongolia Mengtai Group.

Miao Chengyu, vice-mayor of Ordos, delivered a speech at the event, saying that Ordos is now making every effort to create a city of charming landscapes, cultural attractions, and ecological beauty, and a tourism and leisure city of higher quality and appearance.

The Floriade Expo 2022 is a once-in-a-decade A1 category horticultural event. This year's expo is being held in Almere, the Netherlands from April 14 to Oct 9.

Its main tagline is "Developing a Green City" and its sub-taglines are "Green", "Food", "Energy" and "Health".
