Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has become a paradise for migrating birds each year thanks to the sustained efforts made there in wetland conservation and green development.
With the autumn reaching its peak, a large number of migratory birds have flown into the reserves and wetlands of Ordos this year, to perch and forage and replenish their energy before the great annual southwards migration.
The new arrivals include swans and ruddy shelducks.
To ensure their safety, a number of Ordos municipal departments have recently stepped up patrols on the reserves and wetlands.
