Ordos announces development goals for 2023

The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region released its economic and social development goals for 2023 at the fifth Ordos municipal people's congress on Jan 3.
According to the plan, in 2023, the city's GDP is expected to increase by about 6.5 percent, the added value of industries above designated size by about 8 percent, and investment in fixed assets by more than 15 percent.
Meanwhile, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the city are estimated to increase by about 5 percent.
Moreover, efforts will also be made to improve the quality of the environment and complete energy conservation and emission reduction tasks assigned to the city by the autonomous region.
To achieve these goals, Ordos plans to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of its industries, advance new-type industrialization, push forward ecological civilization construction, and continue to improve its public services and infrastructure.
