Ordos achieves great economic, social development results

The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region achieved good results in economic and social development in 2022.
Information from the Ordos municipal government report shows that in 2022, Ordos signed 557 projects through business promotion and introduced 55 billion yuan ($7.85 billion) in funds, representing a year-on-year increase of 47 percent.
Last year, the imports and exports of the city exceeded 15 billion yuan.
In regards to guaranteeing national energy and grain security, Ordos supplied 696 million metric tons of coal to 25 different provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, along with 10 leagues and cities within Inner Mongolia's jurisdiction last year.
During the same period, Ordos produced 29.53 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and the Sulige Gas Field there became the first packaged gas field with a daily output of over 100 million cubic meters in the country. In addition, the newly installed power capacity in the city reached 8.08 million kilowatts.
Last year, 166,000 mu of high-standard farmland was built in Ordos, with a grain output of 2.1 billion kilograms, seeing a bumper harvest for the 19th consecutive year.
In terms of improving people's livelihood, the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents in Ordos increased by 5 percent and 6.5 percent, respectively. Public infrastructure also improved, as 544 kilometers of rural roads were built.
The urban and rural subsistence allowances in Ordos increased by 7.1 percent and 8.3 percent, while the basic living allowance standards for the extremely poverty-stricken have increased by 6.3 percent and 7.1 percent, respectively.
