The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region signed a framework cooperation agreement with JA Solar Technology Co (JA Solar), a new energy company headquartered in Hebei province, on Jan 19.

According to the deal, JA Solar will invest about 40 billion yuan ($5.71 billion) to build an industrial park that includes the whole photovoltaic industry chain.

Yang Haiqing, rotating president of JA Solar, expressed his gratitude to Ordos city for its strong support for the project and expressed his satisfaction at the prospect of cooperation between the two parties.

Yang said that Ordos' momentum in new energy development is strong and that the industry has a lot of potentials. He hopes that the two parties will actively promote the construction of signed projects and further deepen exchanges and cooperation.
