With the fast-approaching May Day Holiday, which runs from April 29 to May 3, the Kangbashi district of Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region is really doing things in style.

It's scheduled a grand fireworks show to dazzle the crowds on May 1.

Kangbashi district is known as "Northern Fireworks City." On each festival and important day, fireworks with brilliant colors and shapes and a super long presentation time hit the sky above Wulan Mulun Lake, giving visitors a glittering visual extravaganza.

It's estimated that this year's May Day fireworks show will last around 40 minutes.
