Lignum caraganae, a rare ornamental flower similar to bush clover, is in full bloom in the grasslands of Otog Front Banner of Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The lignum caraganae covers more than 1 million mu (66,666.67 hectares) in the banner and blooms from May to June.

As a rare plant, it has strict requirements for its living conditions, and it takes 70 to 100 years for a small plot to form.
It plays an important ecological role in absorbing light, withstanding cold, drought, and preventing desertification.
