China National Coal Group Corp plans to build a modern coal chemical industry demonstration park in Tuke town of Uxin Banner in Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The related plan was completed and reviewed by experts on May 19.

The evaluation team, composed of several academicians and related industry experts, believes the plan focuses on exploring a new leading model for developing resource-based chemical parks in western China, which can help the Ordos build a world-class modern coal chemical industry demonstration core area.

The modern coal chemical industry is an effective way to improve the clean and efficient utilization of coal and transform coal from a single fuel to a fuel and raw material in a balanced way. It is of great significance for ensuring national energy security.

The plan aims to build a world-class modern coal chemical industry demonstration core area by comprehensively implementing the "1233" strategy.

"1" is to build a multi-network integration platform of "coal network, power network, heat network, water network, and other public works networks."

"2" is to vigorously develop a dual-driven platform of a "basic material supply platform" and a "resource recycling platform."

"3" is to form a world-class coal-based chemical industry system led by modern coal chemicals, fine chemicals, new materials, and other characteristic products, a non-coal clean energy system supported by new energy, and build three park development support centers.

By 2027, the plan proposes to attract a total investment of about 140 billion yuan and aims to double the industrial park's economic output to 58 billion yuan.
