The construction of a new renewable resources comprehensive utilization project has commenced in the Ordos High-tech Industrial Development Zone, located in Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The project is invested by Ordos Huaxiang Renewable Resources Comprehensive Utilization Co, with a total investment of 300 million yuan ($42.18 million).
Upon completion, the project is expected to process 30,000 scrapped cars, including new-energy and engineering vehicles, and yield up to 200,000 metric tons of scrap steel annually.
By promoting high-standard recycling of waste resources and re-manufacturing of auto parts, the project aims to achieve the recycling and resource utilization of scrap resources.
This project promises to inject new vitality into constructing a complete automobile industry chain in the city's Dongsheng district and provide a new model for developing the renewable resources industry and innovation of urban solid waste management.
