Ordos' service industry shows bright outlook in first 4 months

From January to April, the service industry above the designated size in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region continued to recover, with steady progress in key indicators and most sectors seeing growth, presenting a bright outlook.

During this period, the city's service industry above a designated size achieved operating revenues of 17.49 billion yuan ($2.46 billion), a year-on-year increase of 2.9 percent, representing an increase of 0.4 percentage points over the previous month.

Among them, the transportation, storage, and postal industries made the most significant contribution, achieving revenue of 13.96 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.1 percent.

The operating revenue of the city's service industry above a designated size witnessed significant year-on-year growth in various sectors. Specifically, the resident services, repair, and other services industry experienced a notable increase of 97.9 percent, followed by the education industry, with a growth of 49.9 percent, and the property management industry, with a growth of 12.5 percent.

The operating revenues of the cultural, sports, and entertainment industries have witnessed substantial year-on-year growth, with an increase of 98.1 percent. Similarly, the tourism and scenic area management industries experienced an exceptional surge, with a remarkable year-on-year growth of 7.6 times.
