The Wangdao Distillery Co in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has announced the trial operation of its overseas unit, Oversea Liquor, based in Howard County, Maryland, USA.

Established in August 2021 after more than a year of construction, the company has purchased equipment, completed interior decoration, and secured an operating license at the time of this announcement.

Using an automated brew system, Oversea Liquor will produce a range of high-quality distilled spirits, including whisky, rum, vodka, and cocktails.

Wangdao Distillery has actively pursued the international market since its inception. It established an import-export company in 2019 and signed an authorization agreement with a trading company in Howard County in 2021.

The company plans to launch its products in the US market by 2023 while rapidly expanding into Singapore, Korea, and Japan markets.

The trial operation of Oversea Liquor marks an exciting step toward the company's international expansion strategy.
