The 14th National Dance Exhibition is due to open in Ordos, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 6.

More than 860 dance acts and 36 stage productions applied to enter the exhibition, and 70 acts and 13 productions were selected by experts.

Dance troupes from 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities will participate, including national- and provincial-level dance companies, as well as folk dance troupes and art schools.

The productions cover a diverse range, including revolutionary themes, realistic topics and innovative representations of traditional Chinese culture. The event will host both dance productions in theaters and online screenings. Affordable ticket prices are set to allow more people to attend the performances, and multiple video streaming and media platforms will broadcast the performances.
