An investment cooperation agreement for a new energy industrial base project was successfully signed into effect on June 30.

It marked cooperation among the management committee of the Ordos High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the government of Dongsheng district, and Ordo Chenglong New Energy Technology Co.

It is understood that the total planned investment for the project is 1 billion yuan ($142.65 million), which will establish a new energy vehicle production, manufacturing, sales, service, and application promotion center.

The project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase aims to build a production line capable of manufacturing and assembling 10,000 units of new energy-heavy trucks, along with 4,000 trailers and non-standard container assembly lines.

The second phase will focus on constructing painting and welding workshops, with gradual completion and production expected before 2025.
