Ordos' industrial economy sees smooth sailing in H1

In the first half of the year, the industrial economy of Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region powered forward and presented several highlights.

These included seeing the added value of Ordos' 596 industrial enterprises above designated size grow by 5.5 percent from the same period last year. This is 1.3 percentage points higher than the growth from January to May, and it exceeds the national average growth rate by 1.7 percentage points.

The energy industry remains the main driving force behind the city's industrial economic growth. From January to June, the added value of the industry increased 5.9 percent year-on-year, it accounted for 87.1 percent of the total added value of industrial enterprises with scale.

It contributed 91.6 percent to the growth of industrial enterprises above designated size, driving a 5-percentage-point increase in the growth of such enterprises.
