Ordos has more companies featured on the latest list of "Inner Mongolia's Top 100 Private Enterprises" than any other city, taking pole position with 26 enterprises named.

The list was unveiled on Sept 25 in Baotou city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Inner Mongolia Ordos Investment Holding Group, Inner Mongolia Yitai Group and Inner Mongolia Huineng Group – all located in Ordos – were recognized as the second, third, and fourth-ranked companies in the list, respectively. They boast revenues of 71.56 billion yuan ($10.21 billion), 62.16 billion yuan, and 49.64 billion yuan.

Two more resident enterprises in Ordos – Inner Mongolia Mengtai Group and Inner Mongolia Yidong Resources Group – were ranked sixth and seventh, with respective revenues of 40.8 billion yuan and 21.72 billion yuan.

Companies from Ordos accounted for half of the top 10 on the list, reinforcing the city's status as a hub for thriving private companies.
