Ordos holds conference on Yellow River National Cultural Park construction

An academic conference on museums supporting the construction of the Yellow River National Cultural Park was successfully held in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Feb 27.

Nearly 100 museum directors and exhibition experts from Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, and other regions gathered in Ordos, hoping to further improve the exhibition standards of cultural relics related to the Yellow River and to promote the construction of the Yellow River National Cultural Park.

During the keynote speeches, Wang Shiying, director of the Inner Mongolia Museum, and Ren Hui, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, delivered speeches on the topics such as "The Connotation and Characteristics of Culture in Northern China" and "National Cultural Parks—A Major Cultural Project in the New Era", respectively.

Other participants also engaged in discussions and seminars on topics such as "Leveraging the Brand of the Ordos Museum to Support the Construction of the Yellow River National Cultural Park" and "Inheriting the Culture of the Yellow River to Support Museum Development".

During the conference, the attendees also visited exhibitions such as "The Yellow River Flowing through the Grassland—Exhibits on the History and Culture of Ordos" at the Ordos Museum.
