Within the warehouse of a new energy enterprise in the Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, neatly packaged lithium batteries have passed customs inspections and are ready for shipment.

In the first two months of this year, the area under the administration of Ordos Customs achieved a good start regarding the export of lithium batteries. Its export value of related products reached 339 million yuan ($46.97 million) during this time.

"Since the start of this year, our export orders for lithium batteries have continued to increase, and the shipping schedules are tight. Thanks to the strong support from Ordos Customs, we have been able to swiftly complete inspections and, upon entry into the bonded zone for storage, we can also receive export tax refunds quickly," said Jiang Jiqi from the branch company of Envision Energy Technology (Ordos) Co.

To help lithium battery enterprises in its jurisdiction seize development opportunities, Ordos Customs has conducted in-depth research within each enterprise, effectively utilizing its customs-enterprise liaison officer system and tailored inspection models, which are based on the actual production and export needs of enterprises.

This approach ensures that products are inspected immediately, guaranteeing the smooth export of hazardous goods under secure supervision.

Furthermore, Ordos Customs has focused on meeting the needs of enterprises, facilitating the coordinated development of the bonded zone and the Ordos Zero-carbon Industrial Park. The introduction of lithium batteries into the comprehensive bonded zone for bonded warehousing has effectively utilized the warehousing resources within the bonded zone.

While maintaining stringent supervision, Ordos Customs is optimizing the "bonded + warehousing" model within the bonded zone, thus providing enterprises with appointment-based customs clearance and inspection services.
