In the first quarter of this year, the Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Ordos city completed a total import and export trade volume of 1.09 billion yuan ($149.32 million), marking a 59 percent year-on-year increase.
This accounted for 41.7 percent of the city's total foreign trade volume, laying a solid foundation for improving and enhancing the city's foreign trade quality.
This year, the zone has focused on achieving its annual development goals, and formulating the "Standardized Operation Plan for the Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone", which regulates the establishment, operation, and exit procedures for enterprises within the zone.
Initiatives have been launched to construct basic supporting facilities within the zone, such as electronics factories, cashmere processing plants, refrigeration and freezer facilities, and facilities for industrial support services.
Additionally, contracts have been signed for the implementation of the BGA electronic product bonded processing project. Efforts are being made to expand the bonded logistics and warehousing business for the Envision Battery Export project, which has achieved an export value of 650 million yuan so far.
Furthermore, the orderly promotion of the Jinsida project has seen the commencement of testing and maintenance operations, resulting in a total import and export volume of 78 million yuan.
Moving forward, the zone will continue to optimize its business environment and enhance its service levels.
