This year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday, running from June 8 to 10, brought a wave of visitors to the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

During the three-day period, Ordos welcomed a staggering 1.10 million tourist trips. According to official statistics, these visitors collectively spent 793 million yuan ($108.63 million), giving a significant boost to the local economy.

In response to the heightened demand for travel during the festival holiday, Ordos curated a series of cultural and folk activities that captivated both locals and tourists alike.

Highlights included thrilling dragon boat races as well as the gifting of fragrant sachets and the tying of colorful threads for good luck.

These events not only created a vibrant festive atmosphere, but also catered to the diverse needs of visitors.
